Architect: works
Leonardo Da Vinci has many talents, one of them includes architecture. Experts who have examined his works, all agree that his works were more focused on the theoretical aspects rather than practicality. But on the other hand they agree that Leonardo Da Vinci had some interesting sketches, ambitious construction ideas.
The ideal City
Leonardo Da vinci was always ambitious, so you wouldn't be surprise when I inform you that he had in the back of his mind, an ideal city. He had come up with the idea after the the plague had ravaged Milan, killing off a third of the population. So Leo decided to make the ideal city, a unified city with a more efficient way to communicate from one point of the city to another. As well as services and sanitation methods to prevent future cases of plagues. His ideal city was planned to have a sequence of connected canals which would be used for trade and commercial purposes, as well as a sewage system. The city would also contain a lower and upper platform, the lower used for trade and business while the upper area was for people to travel around the city as well as "gentlemen"
Leo focused on the living conditions of the area by making the streets wider, believing that the people were getting too crowded on the narrow streets of Milan. He even made a paddlewheel system which would help clean the streets.. He designed waterways to carry garbage which was unheard of back then. But Leo didn't just want to improve the city living conditions, he also wanted to make the city aesthetically pleasing. He wanted to add his artistic side to city, adding elegant buildings and feature arches and pillars.
